Chambers arrives at Newberry College with an extensive coaching background, having recently served as an assistant coach and adjunct professor at South Carolina State University. Her career also includes head coaching stints at Lamar Community College and a role as a graduate assistant at Midwestern State University in Texas. In addition to her involvement in the NCAA Coaches Academy, Chambers has taken part in the Big Ten Volleyball Mentorship Program, where she was paired with Brad Keller, the head coach of the University of Southern California women’s volleyball team. Her dedication to improving her skills and knowledge of the game is further evidenced by receiving the 2021 AVCA Diversity Coaches Award, marking her as a leader in advancing diversity within the coaching community.

On the court, Chambers had a remarkable collegiate playing career at Alcorn State University as a setter. She earned several accolades, including being named the team’s Most Valuable Player (MVP) and gaining recognition as SWAC Setter of the Week multiple times. Her contributions place her amongst the top ten players in both single-season and all-time assists for Alcorn State’s volleyball program. Furthermore, Chambers showcased her athletic versatility by playing a season of women’s basketball with the Lady Braves.

Born in Fort Worth, Texas, Chambers holds a Bachelor’s degree in Health and Physical Education from Alcorn State University. She further pursued higher education by obtaining a Master’s degree in Sports Administration from Midwestern State University. Chambers is currently completing an Educational Specialist degree in Educational Leadership from Columbia International University and is actively pursuing a Doctorate in Educational Leadership at the same institution.
