The event highlighted several individual athletes who excelled in their respective events, securing notable placements that contributed to the team’s overall score.
Andrea Pascual Rivera was a standout performer, winning the Women’s Hammer Throw with a remarkable mark of 52.91 meters achieved on her fifth attempt. Rivera’s performance was pivotal in propelling her team’s standing in the competition. Following closely was teammate Irma Watson-Perez, who finished in second place in the same event, delivering an impressive throw of 49.70 meters on her final attempt, further showcasing Newberry’s strength in throwing events.
In the Men’s Javelin, Sean Price secured second place with a top throw of 56.13 meters that he achieved on his first attempt. Price continued to prove his versatility by also finishing third in the Men’s Hammer Throw, registering a distance of 50.48 meters on his fourth attempt. Another impressive performance came from Kiori Butler in the Women’s Javelin, where she placed second with a throw of 36.31 meters on her fourth attempt.
Tyler Shumate became a key contributor for the Wolves as well. The women’s high jump event saw Isabel Farup take the top spot, winning with a jump height of 1.60 meters. Her teammate, Mia Dionisio, also made a commendable effort by finishing in third place with a jump of 1.55 meters. In the sprints, Shamar Brown showed his prowess by placing fifth in both the Men’s 400 meters and Men’s 200 meters, recording times of 48.82 seconds and 21.64 seconds, respectively.

Additionally, Brittany Montgomery secured sixth place in the Women’s 400 meters with a time of 1:03.66. Kiori Butler further showcased her athleticism by finishing fourth in the Women’s Shot Put with a throw of 11.55 meters on her second attempt. Irma Watson-Perez continued her strong performances by securing second place in the Women’s Discus with a throw of 42.23 meters on her first attempt.
