This week in Minnesota high school sports, there were exciting games across various sports, showcasing the talents of young athletes from around the state.

Basketball Highlights

In boys’ basketball, Shakopee faced off against Eastview and delivered a strong performance, winning with a score of 69-40. Other notable games included Cretin-Derham Hall, who beat East Ridge 83-64, and Mounds View narrowly defeating Roseville with a score of 60-54.

The girls’ basketball games were equally thrilling, with Two Rivers dominating Simley at 57-32. In a close match, East Ridge edged out Cretin-Derham Hall with a score of 61-57. Minnehaha Academy also shined, scoring 87 against St. Croix Lutheran with 58 points.

Turning to gymnastics, Central took the lead with a combined score of 114.675 against Johnson‘s 92.175. In Nordic skiing, St. Paul Central led the boys’ event, scoring 479, while St. Paul Highland Park won the girls’ side with 486.

In boys’ hockey, the matchup between Delano and Mahtomedi saw Delano win 4-1. Tennis saw Coon Rapids narrowly defeat Park Center 32-31 and 45-35 against Totino-Grace.
