Newberry County – The Newberry County Sheriff’s Office has arrested two men in connection with a recent vehicle chase involving a stolen Range Rover. The suspects, identified as 20-year-old Tyleik Jaeqwon Sanders and 22-year-old Quattro Keazzhie Sanders, both residents of Upper Lane in Newberry, are facing charges of possession of a stolen vehicle and failure to stop for law enforcement. A third individual, 23-year-old Jamarius Tyreek Wilson, remains at large and is wanted in connection with the incident.
The vehicle theft was reported on May 16, when a 2025 Range Rover was stolen from Greenville. The Sheriff’s Office was alerted to the stolen vehicle’s presence in Newberry County through social media, prompting deputies to keep a lookout for it.
On the afternoon of the chase, a deputy spotted the stolen Range Rover on Whitner Road, near U.S. Highway 76. Upon attempting to initiate a traffic stop, the driver of the stolen vehicle failed to comply and sped away, leading deputies on a pursuit. The chase concluded when the driver abandoned the vehicle on Tripod Road, just off Shrine Club Road, and three occupants fled into a nearby wooded area.
In response to the fleeing suspects, law enforcement deployed K9 teams from the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) and Newberry County Sheriff’s Office (NCSO), as well as aerial units, to assist in the search. Despite extensive searching efforts, the pursuit ended near the Fast Stop convenience store located on CR Koon Highway, where the trail of the suspects went cold.
Investigations subsequently revealed that all three individuals were from Newberry County and had traveled from Greenville after stealing the vehicle. Authorities are actively seeking information on the whereabouts of Jamarius Tyreek Wilson, who is still considered a suspect in the theft.
As part of a coordinated effort, the Greenville City Police are conducting a separate investigation related to the vehicle theft, as the original crime occurred in their jurisdiction.
Authorities are urging anyone with further information regarding Jamarius Tyreek Wilson’s whereabouts to contact the Newberry County Sheriff’s Office at 803-321-2222. Your assistance could help in apprehending the third suspect involved in this case.
This incident highlights ongoing concerns about vehicle thefts and the importance of community awareness. The collaboration between local law enforcement agencies and the community is crucial in addressing such criminal activities.
