Additionally, her experience includes serving as Title IX Deputy Coordinator and Director of Compliance at the same institution.

Wolbert’s Athletic Background
Wolbert’s career in athletics began in 1996 at Bethany Lutheran School in Houston, Texas, where she was not only the athletic director but also a coach and teacher. She has also served as a math teacher and basketball coach at Oak Ridge High School in Orlando, Florida. Further, Wolbert held roles as Assistant Athletic Director and coach at Freedom High School and worked as an Assistant Director of Athletics and math teacher at Ocoee High School.
Wolbert later became the Athletic and Activities Director at University High School in Orlando, where she oversaw 32 varsity programs. Her academic qualifications include a Bachelor of Arts in Education with a major in Mathematics from Concordia University Chicago, alongside a Master of Business Administration from the Crummer Business School at Rollins College. Wolbert is currently pursuing a Doctor of Education at Concordia University Chicago.
Newberry College Athletics Achievements
Alongside Wolbert’s appointment, Newberry College’s athletic programs continue to excel academically. The Wolves baseball team achieved a remarkable team GPA of 3.629 for the 2024-25 academic year, marking their twelfth consecutive year at the top of the South Atlantic Conference (SAC) in GPA. The softball team had an impressive GPA of 3.796, ranking first among all SAC softball teams.
Additionally, eleven out of the twenty SAC programs sponsored by Newberry College exceeded the league average for their respective sports. Notable achievements include women’s basketball with a GPA of 3.505, field hockey at 3.634, and men’s and women’s golf with GPAs of 3.623 and 3.669, respectively—both ranked second in their category.
Upcoming Induction Ceremony
The Newberry College Athletics Hall of Fame will also celebrate its 48th class this year with the induction of six individuals on September 13. The inductees include notable athletes such as Albert Baur (baseball), Deral Brown (men’s wrestling), Blake Mayes (football), Samantha Parrish (women’s volleyball), Beth Williamson (women’s tennis), and Raleigh Yeldell (football). This ceremony marks a rich tradition for Newberry College, which now honors a total of 196 athletes since the Hall of Fame’s establishment in 1976.
