Teams are vying for coveted state championship titles as they progress through various rounds in the South Carolina High School League (SCHSL) and South Carolina Independent School Association (SCISA).

Boys Soccer Playoffs

The boys soccer playoffs kicked off with several exciting matches in the SCHSL tournaments. In the 4A category, Midland Valley faced off against May River, while Bluffton took on Hilton Head on Wednesday. The winners will head to the second round where Bluffton or Hilton Head will meet SoFlo or Aiken, and NoAug or Crestwood will play at May River on Saturday. Subsequent rounds include the third round on May 14, followed by the Lower State Finals on May 17, and the State Championship on May 24.

Meanwhile, the 3A 1st Round saw Battery Creek triumph over Georgetown with a score of 2-0. Battery Creek will visit Swansea for the second round on Thursday. The lower state finals are scheduled for May 16, leading up to the State Championship on May 23. In the 2A division, Batesburg-Leesville and Hampton County both secured wins on Monday, setting the stage for their matchups on Thursday. The 1A 1st Round concluded with Ridgeland defeating Military Magnet 5-2, as they look ahead to the next round.

In the SCISA 3A playoffs, Wilson Hall edged out John Paul II, while Hilton Head Christian Academy triumphed in a penalty shootout against Trinity Collegiate. Both teams will continue to the semifinals on Wednesday. 2A action featured Hilton Head Prep dominating Thomas Sumter with a 10-0 victory.

Girls Soccer Playoffs

In the girls division, playoffs are also heating up. The 4A first round will see Colleton County face A.C. Flora, with Beaufort at Bishop England and Brookland-Cayce taking on May River on Tuesday. The 3A tournament begins with Newberry at Battery Creek on the same day, followed by the 2A/1A playoffs where Columbia faces off against Bridges Prep.

In SCISA action, the 4A bracket features Hilton Head Christian Academy and John Paul II scheduled to play against Hammond and Ben Lippen, respectively. Their semifinal matches are set for Thursday, progressing to the championship game on Saturday.

Baseball Playoffs

Baseball playoffs have also seen considerable activity, particularly in the 4A category. Recent games included a dominant victory for Fountain Inn over Hilton Head, while May River secured a 6-2 win against Brookland-Cayce. Schools will continue to compete with matchups scheduled for Tuesday, where local teams aim to advance further in the playoffs.

In the 3A and 2A divisions, key games are lined up, including Battery Creek traveling to Loris and Hampton County visiting Cheraw.

Softball Playoffs

Softball playoffs are also underway, with games taking place in the 4A division, including Bluffton at Gray Collegiate and Beaufort visiting Darlington. As the postseason progresses, schools are vying for their respective district titles in preparation for advancing round matches.
