High School Sports Recap: Exciting Matchups and Performances
This week in Minneapolis, high school basketball saw some intense action with several teams putting on impressive performances. Mayer Lutheran edged out West Lutheran with a nail-biting score of 82 to 76, showing their strength in the MCAA league. Over in the Metropolitan Area, Albany dominated SW Christian with a convincing 69 to 51 victory.
In a close contest, Anoka managed to defeat Edina by just a point, finishing the game at 66 to 65. Meanwhile, Benilde-St. Margaret’s showcased their talent with an 85 to 59 win over Shakopee. Champlin Park also had a successful outing as they beat Farmington with a score of 67 to 54.
In other exciting matches, Chaska triumphed over Lakeville South, 73-67, while Cretin-Derham Hall took down Alexandria by 77 to 71. Holy Angels had a thrilling game against Mpls. Roosevelt, narrowly winning at 88 to 86.
Not to be outdone, Prior Lake secured a decisive victory against Eden Prairie, finishing the game at 91 to 75. On the wrestling front, the Simley Invite saw Simley take top honors with a total score of 130.00, edging out Bloomington Jefferson’s 128.25.
