This past Friday night, high school football teams across Southeast Texas took to the field for an exciting evening of playoff action. As the postseason began, many teams fought hard to secure their spot in the next round. Here are the results from the first round of the playoffs.

In a standout performance, Port Neches-Groves defeated Hallsville with a score of 43-20. The team showed impressive skill and teamwork as they secured their win.

Port Arthur Memorial dominated their game against Galena Park, winning by an incredible margin of 70-0. This matchup showcased Memorial’s powerful offense and solid defense.

Nederland also made waves by defeating Texarkana with a score of 56-14. The win is a significant step for Nederland as they pushed forward in the playoffs.

Meanwhile, Lindale claimed victory over Little Cypress-Mauriceville with a score of 49-21 in another exciting game.

In a different matchup, Silsbee overwhelmed Brookshire Royal with a score of 45-6, demonstrating their strong offensive capabilities.

Other notable scores included Pine Tree defeating Bridge City 35-28, Kilgore routing Vidor 66-6, and Columbia topping Jasper 56-35.

A thrilling matchup featured Fairfield, who edged out Orangefield with a score of 49-42, and Westwood with a close win against Hardin at 42-33.

Newton sailed past West Rusk with a score of 60-24, while Woodville took down Arp 49-20. Mt. Enterprise finished strong, beating Deweyville with a score of 40-16.

As the playoffs continue, teams are gearing up for what promises to be another thrilling week of high school football.
