High School Football Roundup: Week 7 Excitement in Northern Kentucky and Southeast Indiana

This week in High School Football, excitement was in full swing in Northern Kentucky and Southeast Indiana as teams showcased their skills with several impressive performances. With the calendar flipped to October, fans were treated to an entertaining lineup during Week 7, even after the previous week was disrupted by Hurricane Helene.

One of the standout games included Ludlow dominating Bellevue with a score of 43-0. Ludlow’s quarterback, Jackson Mays, threw two successful touchdown passes to Carson Evans, and Dameyn Anness added to the score with two rushing touchdowns. Bellevue, who had a three-game winning streak, struggled against Ludlow’s relentless defense.

In another key matchup, Highlands flexed their muscles with a 49-0 victory over Dixie Heights. Highlands’ quarterback, Rio Litmer, threw for over 200 yards and found the end zone three times with his arm and once with his feet. This game marked their return to form after a narrow loss to Cooper just days earlier.

Meanwhile, Covington Catholic kept their winning streak alive, blanking Grant County 54-0. This victory marked their fifth consecutive win after an initial rocky start. The Colonels scored in every possible way, from touchdown passes to a fumble return for a score. Remarkably, their defense limited Grant County to just 50 total yards.

Other notable results included Cooper defeating Conner 42-17, Scott taking down Boone County 27-6, and Mason County severely beating Holmes 60-0. Additionally, Beechwood bounced back strongly from a previous defeat, overpowering Walton-Verona 69-0.

As the season progresses, teams are positioning themselves for playoff runs. Local coaches have even opened discussions about their dream teams as they look forward to the upcoming matchups. With so much action on the field, football fans are encouraged to keep an eye on their favorite teams as they compete for position and glory in the rest of the season.

Stay tuned for more updates and coverage as teams gear up for the next round of exciting games!
