Menasha – In an exciting finish on Friday night, the Menasha Tritons pulled off a dramatic last-minute victory against the Notre Dame Tritons, winning 21-28. The game held everyone’s attention until the final 12.9 seconds when Max Pierce connected with Charlie Hornacek for a thrilling 34-yard touchdown pass, sealing the win.

The game was a rollercoaster of emotions, particularly in the fourth quarter. Menasha trailed by 21-7 but rallied with determination. Elijah Gigl started the comeback with a 3-yard touchdown run. Menasha continued to fight, and Logan Liegl threw a 28-yard touchdown to Jaydon Lanser, complemented by a successful 2-point run by Liegl, bringing the score to 21-15.

Notre Dame would not go down easily, as they responded with a touchdown of their own, but Menasha’s last drive proved decisive. They surprised the opponent with a stunning play, and Hornacek’s catch and Pierce’s pinpoint throw brought jubilation among the players and fans alike.
