Musketeers Off to Strong Start
The Academy of Richmond County (ARC) Musketeers high school football team has achieved a 4-0 start to their season. This marks the first time Richmond Academy has opened a season with four consecutive wins since 2018.
Under head coach Keenan Grissett, the team’s victories include wins against Laney, Thomson, Westside, and a region-opening win over Wayne County. The Musketeers’ offense has been a key factor in their success, averaging more than 32 points per contest. This offensive power is largely driven by a ground attack that consistently produces over 230 rushing yards per game.
Coach Grissett attributes the team’s early success to the players’ complete commitment to the program’s culture, especially following their move to Class 5A this fall.
Richmond Academy is set to host 3-1 Benedictine this Friday at 7:30 p.m. This game will also serve as their home opener, played on their newly renovated stadium and turf field.
