Spartanburg County Committee to Discuss Data Center Project

Public Safety Committee to Hold Special Hearing

The Spartanburg County Council’s Public Safety Committee is scheduled to host a special hearing concerning data centers. The meeting will take place at 2:30 p.m. inside the Council Chambers at the County Administrative Office Building.

During the hearing, the committee will receive information related to the Northmark Strategies Data Center Project, which is located on South Pine Street. This meeting follows the SC Department of Environmental Services’ approval for the center to operate 11 simple combustion turbines. The hearing is set for Monday, September 21, 2026.
