Whitmire Wolverines Secure First Win, Set New Records

The Whitmire Community School Wolverines football team achieved its first victory of the 2026 season on Friday, August 28, defeating Spartanburg Christian Academy. The road win saw two senior players set new school records, marking a strong offensive performance for the team.

Senior quarterback Kaden Malpass delivered a notable performance, completing 8 of 18 passes for 278 yards and four touchdowns. This effort placed him third in the school’s history for single-game passing yards. Complementing Malpass’s aerial attack, senior wide receiver Landon Wulf established a new all-time single-game record for receiving yards, accumulating 266 yards on five receptions, including four receiving touchdowns. Wulf also contributed defensively with 10 tackles and seven pass breakups. Junior Kingston Green added 58 rushing yards on 10 carries and recorded one sack.
