Myrtle Beach, South Carolina – LeRoy LeMaster, a prominent leader in the trucking industry and a passionate philanthropist, passed away at the age of 79 on September 18, 2025. He spent his final moments surrounded by his three daughters.

Born on January 18, 1946, in Union, South Carolina, LeMaster was the son of Roy Lee LeMaster and Lillie Mae Sinclair LeMaster. He was raised in Union, where he became a member of Westside Baptist Church and graduated from Union High School.

LeMaster is survived by his three daughters: Leigh Ann LeMaster Yoxtheimer (William Gregory Poston), Amy LeMaster Boozer (Timothy Edwin Boozer, Jr.), and Amanda LeMaster Anthony (Tyler Lee Anthony). He was also a proud grandfather to six grandchildren: Jennifer Boozer Lathrop (Kendall Scott Lathrop), Jessica Boozer Bedenbaugh (Corey Todd Bedenbaugh), Mattie Rose Boozer, Emily Kathryn Yoxtheimer, Austin Tyler Anthony, and Ava Langley Anthony. In addition, he had two great-grandchildren, Jackson Scott Lathrop and Carter James Lathrop. LeMaster is also survived by a sister, Rosa McDade Estes, and a brother, Harold Eugene LeMaster, and his wife Patti. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 59 years, Dianne Chalk LeMaster, as well as his sisters Joyce LeMaster Pierce and Nancy LeMaster Hyder.

LeMaster began his career in the trucking industry in 1976 at Senn Trucking Company in Silverstreet, SC, where he started as a dispatcher and later became the top salesman for the East Coast. In the early 1980s, he founded AAA Transportation Services, Inc., a company named after his daughters. In 1989, he relocated to Myrtle Beach to further his trucking career and became the president of Lewis Truck Lines in Conway, SC, which he purchased in 2005.

His contributions to the trucking industry extended beyond his own businesses. He served on the Board of Governors for Transport Clearing East, Inc. in Charlotte, NC, from the mid-1990s until 2023 and held the position of Chairman of the Board in the early 2000s. He was an active member of the South Carolina Trucking Association, where he held various leadership roles throughout his career.

In 2010, LeMaster expanded his business ventures by purchasing Reaves Enterprises, which has since been renamed Reaves Inc., and acquired two additional companies. He also founded LeMaster Leasing, LLC, a truck finance company, and LeMaster Site Work, LLC, which specializes in site work and hauling.

A committed philanthropist, LeMaster supported the Coastal Carolina University Athletic Foundation in honor of his late wife and family. He developed an interest in real estate during his later years, dedicating time to researching properties and land valuations.

LeRoy LeMaster will be remembered for his leadership, generosity, and unwavering dedication to both his family and community. His funeral and visitation services are scheduled as follows:

  • Visitation: Saturday, September 20, 2025, from 4:00–6:00 p.m. at McMillian-Small Funeral Home, Myrtle Beach, SC.
  • Funeral Service: Sunday, September 21, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church, Myrtle Beach, SC.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be sent to local organizations such as the Newberry Shrine Club, DaVita Market Commons At Home, and First Presbyterian Church of Myrtle Beach.
