Additionally, Bethany Pigg drove in a crucial run in the fourth inning, while pitcher Lex Glemaker had a solid performance on the mound, pitching four innings without allowing any earned runs and striking out three batters.

In the second challenge of the tournament against Florida Tech, Newberry managed to score first but then faced a comeback, ultimately losing 2-1. Glemaker pitched impressively again, this time going 5.1 innings and allowing just two earned runs. Unfortunately, the team could only muster up four hits during that game.

Final Tournament Game: Another Tough Loss

In their final game against the host team, Embry-Riddle, Newberry fell short with a 7-4 defeat.
