In Danbury, the Danbury High School basketball team narrowly defeated Hamden with a score of 63-57. After trailing in the second quarter, Danbury fought back with a strong closing half, thanks to standout performances from Khalil Tolliver, who scored 17 points, and Trenton Fraser, contributing 13 points.

In another exciting matchup, Darien edged out Guilford with a final score of 68-64. Noah Young shined for Guilford, scoring 33 points, but it wasn’t enough to hold off Darien, where Jake Blythe

E.O. Smith continued their strong season by defeating Avon 70-62. They had a great performance from Cameron Belanger, who scored 25 points, helping his team maintain control throughout the game.

In a lopsided affair, Seymour dominated Derby, winning 82-20. Joey Carrafiello

Lyman Hall also took care of business, defeating Wilcox Tech with a score of 61-31, showing off their defensive skills and offensive depth.

On the girls’ side, Hamden secured a solid win against Lauralton Hall, outscoring them 58-30 with Aunee Brookshire
