In basketball, junior point guard for Holland Christian, brought his A-game last week, scoring an incredible 40 points in a win over West Ottawa. Along with his two strong games in double figures, he is proving to be a key player as the team pushes through the season.
The wrestling scene has also been thrilling, with a junior champion claiming victory at 113 pounds during the Ottawa County Tournament. Hamilton dominated the dual meet against Holland and Northview, which showcased the skill and strength of the wrestlers in the area.
Meanwhile, in swimming, top athletes were on fire during a dual meet against Jenison, swimming the fastest times in the 100-yard butterfly and 100 breaststroke. These strong performances are helping to elevate the teams and build momentum as they aim for success this season.
In girls’ basketball, one standout player from Hamilton reached a significant milestone by scoring 21 points in a game against Kenowa Hills, making her the fourth player in the school’s history to surpass 1,000 career points. Similarly, her teammate from Saugatuck achieved the same remarkable feat after scoring 19 points in a Tuesday win.
