High School Football Playoffs Across Pennsylvania Heat Up

Local High School Basketball Results from Friday Night

As the weekend kicked off, local high schools showcased some impressive basketball performances on Friday night. Many teams participated in various tournaments, proving their mettle on the court.

At the Armstrong tournament, Deer Lakes established their dominance by defeating River Valley with a commanding score of 61 to 27. Meanwhile, Highlands edged out the home team Armstrong with a narrow win, closing the game at 55 to 49.

In the Ellwood City tournament, Blackhawk showed an impressive performance against Rochester, winning convincingly at 67 to 34. Union also pulled off a close game against Ellwood City, finishing at 64 to 58.

The Geneva College/Lincoln Park tournament featured some close matchups as well. Ambridge won a tightly contested game against Beaver Falls with a final score of 45 to 40. East Liverpool from Ohio emerged victorious over Lincoln Park, winning 51 to 47. Additionally, Imani Christian defeated Moon decisively, finishing at 74 to 54.

In the Latrobe tournament, Latrobe dominated Mt. Pleasant with a score of 66 to 25, and Richland pushed past Windber with a narrow margin of 51 to 48.

Lastly, the Laurel tournament saw Mercer achieving a strong victory against Perry Traditional Academy, scoring 69 to 38. Laurel also had a solid showing against Commodore Perry, winning by a significant margin of 69 to 22.

As Saturday approaches, more exciting matchups are scheduled across the region, including teams looking for redemption and others aiming to build on their winning momentum. Fans are looking forward to seeing how the action unfolds in the upcoming games!
