Rock Bridge Athletes Take Their Talents to the Next Level: College Commitments Announced

Columbia, Missouri – The Mizzou women’s basketball team is celebrating after a strong fourth quarter led by Slaughter, clinching their second win of the season. The team has shown its potential this year, and this latest victory serves as a reminder of the talent on the roster.

Meanwhile, the Rock Bridge student-athletes have made exciting announcements about where they will be continuing their sports careers after graduation. Among them, girl’s basketball star Mari Miller revealed she will be taking her talents to the University of Alabama-Birmingham. Despite having to sit out her senior season due to an injury, Miller remains optimistic about the move. “I’m going to take confidence into UAB,” she stated. “I think the staff, the players, everyone has so much confidence in me. I think my confidence has grown as a person because of them.”

Miller’s teammate, sharpshooter Eli Porter, announced her decision to continue her basketball career at Wofford College. Porter emphasized the impact of Coach Nagel on her development, saying, “Coach Nagel has taken my game to the next level, and being able to present that at the collegiate level will separate me.”

In volleyball news, Ava Renner confirmed she will be heading to Kansas Wesleyan University, while teammate Caylee Coggins announced her commitment to Madison College in Wisconsin. On the softball field, Bella Stephens is set to play at Saint Louis University, and Addie Morris will be continuing her career at the University of Southern Arkansas.

These announcements not only mark a significant step for the athletes but also showcase the talent coming out of Rock Bridge. As they prepare for the next chapter of their athletic careers, the community is excited to support them on their journeys.
