Mountlake Terrace Hawks Soar to Victory Against Everett Seagulls

Mountlake Terrace, WA – The Mountlake Terrace Hawks showcased their strength on the field this past Sunday, defeating the Everett Seagulls with a commanding score of 34-0. The Hawks demonstrated a powerful offensive performance, racking up a total of 514 yards, including an impressive 398 yards on the ground.

This victory secured the Hawks the No. 2 seed in the Wesco 3A South Division, qualifying them for the state playoffs that will kick off on November 8 or 9. The Hawks will close out their regular season against Edmonds-Woodway on Friday, October 25, before facing the No. 2 seed from the Wesco 3A North Division next week in the Wesco crossover matchups, where both teams will advance to the playoffs.

Quarterback Mason Wilson had a productive day, completing 6 of 8 passes for 118 yards and 1 touchdown. On the ground, Owen Boswell led the rushing attack with 142 yards on 15 carries and a touchdown, followed closely by Wilson himself, who added 107 yards rushing. Nate Brown had a notable game too, scoring two rushing touchdowns.

The Hawks’ defense shined by limiting the Seagulls and allowing just a few plays to break through. Key defensive players included Liam Moore, who made 9 tackles, and Cody Ekanayake, who contributed with a pick and a fumble recovery.

In another exciting game, the Meadowdale Mavericks crushed the Lynnwood Royals 48-0. The Mavericks had a fierce defense, limiting the Royals to just three first downs throughout the matchup. Brian Mills was a standout player, rushing for 190 yards and scoring three touchdowns.

Quarterback Ki Gamble also had a strong performance, throwing for 97 yards and three touchdowns, connecting with multiple receivers for a well-rounded offense.

Shorewood Stormrays Claim Victory Over Edmonds-Woodway

Meanwhile, the Shorewood Stormrays improved their record to 5-2 with a 31-13 win over Edmonds-Woodway. Nathan Schlack scored twice for the Warriors, but it was not enough to overcome the Stormrays’ strong offensive showing.
