NEWBERRY, S.C. — Newberry College has a new corporate classroom partner. The college and the Ritedose Corporation, a Columbia-based maker of sterile medications, are launching a graduate certificate built for Ritedose employees the company has tagged as its next generation of leaders.
College faculty and Ritedose leaders designed the program together. It runs online through the college’s learning platform, so workers can keep their current jobs while they take it, and it adds guest lectures at the company’s Center of Excellence.
The certificate is made up of five courses, each eight weeks long, and ends with a mini-capstone project. It started with the fall 2026 semester.
Finishing it also opens a shortcut to a full degree. Employees who complete the certificate can earn a Newberry College master’s degree in organizational development and leadership with just five more courses.
The plan is meant to feed itself over time. Graduates of the program who win the college’s approval can return to teach later groups of Ritedose workers.
Ritedose describes itself as the largest sterile contract development and manufacturing company in the country that specializes in blow-fill-seal technology, which is used for single-dose inhalation and eye medications. Newberry College, a private liberal arts school tied to the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, was founded in 1856.
