Newberry College athletics will launch a new weekly show, Wolves Weekly, on September 17, 2024. The program will be hosted and produced by the Newberry College athletics department, offering local fans and alumni insights into the Wolves’ football program and other athletic endeavors.
Newberry College, a prominent institution in the Newberry College Neighborhood, is part of the Division II football landscape. The show will provide coverage of the team, which competes in SCHSL Region 4-3A, alongside other area schools like Newberry High School and Mid-Carolina High School.
The upcoming Division II football season features a range of games, with several scheduled for September 3. These include VUL versus Roanoke, Northwood against Wayne State (MI), Thomas (GA) playing Carson-Newman, Kutztown facing Assumption, Westminster (Pa.) versus Marietta, Warner against Valdosta State, Indiana (Pa.) playing Ashland, West Texas A&M versus Grand Valley, Gettysburg against Juniata, and Lindenwood facing Stony Brook. On September 4, Belhaven will play Millsaps, and New Mexico Highlands will compete against Western N.M. Later that day, Bentley is scheduled to play Ferris State, and Shenandoah will face Methodist.
Beyond game coverage, the Division II football platform also offers a D2 Football Highlight Show, which will air on December 3, 2024, showcasing top plays from across the division. Additionally, specific conference highlight shows, such as Lone Star Football Highlights, Gulf South Football Highlights, and GLIAC Football Highlights, are set to begin on August 26, 2024. Dedicated live coverage and replays are also available for conferences including the Lone Star Conference, Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference, NE10 Football, and the Gulf South Conference.
