Coaches from Newberry College will contribute their expertise to the US Youth Soccer Olympic Development Program (ODP) South Region teams for the 2026-27 season. Justin Cook, Head Men’s Soccer Coach at Newberry College, will serve as an Assistant Coach for the 2010 age group. Rich Weber, Assistant Men’s Soccer Coach at Newberry College, will be the Goalkeeper Coach for both the 2011 and 2012 age groups.
The US Youth Soccer ODP has announced the Interregional rosters, featuring top players from the East, Midwest, South, and West regions across the 2009-2014 age groups. These Interregional Events provide a platform for players to compete for honors, be evaluated by scouts, and potentially earn spots on ODP National Teams.
Several South Carolina players have also been named to the South Region rosters. In the 2010 age group, Will Ezelle, Noah Sampson, and Greyson Harper Vasquez are included. Zayn Haddad is on the 2011 age group roster. The 2012 age group features Callum Cruickshank, Evan Lewis, and Kayden Brewton. For the 2013 Older age group, Joshua Verdugo, Banks Wiggins, and Enzo Midence have been selected. Jax Valek is part of the 2013 Younger age group, and Owen Vieth is on the 2014 Older age group roster.
Other coaches from South Carolina programs are also involved. Jake Douvas, Assistant Men’s Soccer Coach at the College of Charleston, will be the Head Coach for the 2010 age group. Andy Aulick, Head Men’s Soccer Coach at North Greenville University, will lead the 2011 age group as Head Coach. Thad Miller, a South Carolina State Coaching Educator, will serve as an Assistant Coach for the 2014 Older age group.
